A Message from the Principal

Dear Husky Families,

Welcome to an exciting new school year at Highland Elementary! I am truly honored to serve as your principal and to partner with you in creating an exceptional educational experience for every child. Together, we will build a school community where every student is safe, feels they belong, and is empowered to achieve academic success.

This year, our focus will center on three core commitments: Safety, Belonging, and Academics.

Safety

A safe learning environment is the foundation for student success. We are committed to maintaining a campus where students feel physically, emotionally, and socially safe every day. Through consistent routines, positive behavior expectations, and strong partnerships with families, we will ensure that every child can learn with confidence.

Belonging

At Highland Elementary, every student deserves to feel seen, valued, and connected. We believe that strong relationships are the heart of a thriving school community. We will foster a culture of kindness, respect, and inclusion where every child knows they are an important part of the Highland family. When students feel they belong, they are more confident, engaged, and ready to learn.

Academics

We are committed to providing rigorous, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences that challenge and support every student. Our dedicated staff will use high-quality instruction, data-driven practices, and targeted interventions to ensure each child reaches their full potential. We believe all students can achieve great things when high expectations are paired with encouragement, support, and opportunities to grow.
